We stayed inside at Bible study last night because it was thundering. Our painting assignment with this lesson was to take a verse from the Psalms and put it with a picture, incorporating the words into the image. I chose Psalm 23: 1-2 because I feel like God is leading me beside quiet (still) waters at this time in my life.

Ruth, this is such a beautiful image for this psalm. Thank-you for sharing.
I’m delighted to share. Thank you for looking and giving me encouraging feedback!
Wonderful little sheep and color hues!
I was wondering if I could join this group but VA is a little far from PA. You are very inspirational Ruth
We’re doing a study entitled “Water in the Word,” by Jennifer Woodruff, which looks at the whole story presented in the Bible through some of the chapters that have water as a common theme. There is a watercolor painting exercise response in each lesson. We meet at members’ homes in the Annapolis area and only have 2 more weeks of the study. Maybe you could start your own group?
No I cannot ….
very sweet post, amiga. it’s comforting to know that you’ve reached the still-waters part of life! it’s a great place to be, isn’t it?! thank you for sharing, z
Z, I think that you’ve reached a point in your life where you have waters in abundance and you give a deep thirst-quenching drink to all those with whom you come in contact. Your gift for sharing art and getting others involved is inspiring!
Glad you made the sheep brown. 🙂
Sounds like you have some experience here! No little fluffy cotton-balls in the grass?
Ha! No, no cotton balls, but also, it ties to the brown in the tree leaves. And I just clicked on it to view closer and realized there are words in the grass–I was so surprised. And now I wonder, why is only one of the words not cursive? Just curious…
I wondered if anyone would notice! I penned that word in line with the others, but it went off the edge of the picture and got cropped out, so I pasted the word in with a photo editing program.
Heh heh! Great!
