I’ve recently been following another artist who is trying out watercolor and finding it difficult. I tried to explain how he might do an initial picture and then realized that words just didn’t explain it fully. I needed a video.
I haven’t done many videos, just a couple for my students when we couldn’t have a lesson because of the snow this past winter. I’m still disconcerted by how my voice sounds to everyone else and not entirely comfortable talking while painting, especially with no one else in the room. And then learning to edit and upload the video has been like learning a new trick for this old dog. But since I have gotten this far, here is the video:
I welcome your comments as I would like to get better at this!

Ooh! Is this the painting you described to me?☺☺ In that case; so nice to have a video to work from 😃
The internet connection has been too slow to load the video, but I’ll be back! That’s so sweet of you to do that for him! Plus, tackling new tasks and challenges keeps the brain strong!
Yes, z, I keep reminding myself that I don’t want to stop learning new things. Learning new technology often seems frustrating, possibly because so often if it isn’t just right, it’s wrong. There’s no getting better toward the goal until one has reached a certain threshold.
When you reached minute 06:15, I thought, ‘Wow! it’s absolutely gorgeous right now! – very Zen!’
Great video, well worth the effort of waiting for faster internet!
