Watercolor Month, July 2, 2020

For today’s prompt of “Texture” I painted from a photograph taken by one of my friends. Early in the spring she spotted a pair of red shouldered hawks building a nest. In the early mornings, the sunlight would light up the area, and she took photos of the growing chicks. She watched the parents feed them frogs and snakes and she ran all over the neighborhood documenting the chicks’ first flights.
