I had several ideas for this prompt (Day 10 of World Watercolor Month), but I discarded several because they just weren’t things that I wanted to paint today. My convoluted thinking led me to clothes being color fast, and dyes not bleeding, and a slogan I’ve heard about the American Flag, whose “colors don’t run.”

These Colors Don’t Run, watercolor, 7” x 5”

This was painted from a photo I took at a parade in Annapolis, Maryland.
